Dear Student/Parent:
Welcome to Blackfoot High School for the 2009-2010 school year! Hopefully, this will be the most successful and productive school that you have experienced.
The few, short years you will spend as a student at BHS will be very important. Please remember that the quality of one’s education is often equal to the effort one expends in obtaining an education. It is very important that you are active and positive participants in the educational process.
In your student handbook, we have provided you and your parents with the school policies and guidelines which you need to know. Teachers went over the handbook at the beginning of the year and we would ask that you review it from time to time.
Always remember that the opportunity you have to an education is a guaranteed right; however, there are responsibilities required for you to meet. Those of you who achieve the greatest success will master the responsibilities required within the educational process. Working together cooperatively and in partnership, we can expect to produce literate and responsible citizens ready to tackle the challenges of tomorrow. Teamwork between the school, student, and parent are critical to the success of your education at Blackfoot High School.
